Children's Playground

The one part of the precinct that never moves

The fixed playground is retained along the western, irregular boundary — the place where permanent equipment has the least effect on the flexible central space.

What the playground includes

  • A toddler and early-play area
  • An older-child climbing and activity area
  • Inclusive play equipment
  • Slides, swings, climbing structures and sensory play
  • Impact-absorbing safety surfacing
  • Shade structures and trees
  • Parent and caregiver seating
  • Accessible paths
  • Low safety fencing and controlled gates
  • Clear sightlines for supervision
Replace with playground photography or a render.

How it works alongside everything else

Open during sport

The playground remains available while pickleball, football and group exercise are running, with low fencing and gates keeping it separate from active play.

Managed during events

On larger evening events it may be independently managed or closed, and stays physically separated from the audience area.

Designed for supervision

Seating, shade and clear sightlines let caregivers watch children comfortably from the edge of the play area.
