Youth Football

Football grouped by development, not just by birthday

Football remains an essential part of the precinct. Movable fencing, portable goals and removable divider nets let coaches reshape the area for each session, age group and programme.

Zones that can be reconfigured

Teen and adult area

The larger zone, used for teen and adult play, club training and recreational matches.

Junior training area

A smaller area for junior football and coaching, divisible again when numbers are high.

Overlapping age bands

Approximately 6–9 and 8–12. The overlap is intentional so coaches can group children by age, physical development and playing ability rather than fixed age-specific fields.

Divided differently depending on attendance

  • One combined junior training area
  • Two smaller coaching zones
  • An ages 6–9 introductory area
  • An ages 8–12 development area
  • Skills, goalkeeper or warm-up stations

Everything on the field is movable

All goals, cones, divider fencing and ball-retention nets are movable so the football area can be cleared entirely for markets, concerts and outdoor movies. The same area also supports recreational volleyball with a removable net and discreet overlapping court markings that stay legible without cluttering the surface.
